A great festival that we celebrated with my family is Janmashtami. Here, I would like to talk about how we celebrated it, what we did, and how this festival has importance in everyone's life.
A Day of Devotion
First and foremost, Lord Krishna Ji was born on this date. People who belong to Hindu culture usually observe fasting on this day, so that they can show that they have a true sense of dignity and devotion towards their God. This shows that they are down to earth and have a strong attitude and faith towards their God.
Why I Celebrate Every Festival
As I was born in a Sikh family, we also celebrate all religions in our country. I believe that every religion has its own importance, culture, traditions, and festivals. So, on that day, I also wanted to celebrate Janmashtami with my family and make it a memorable day for us.
Getting Krishna Ji Ready for His Birthday
On that day, I made a cake for Lord Krishna because it was his birthday. I decorated the mandir with diyas and flowers, which made the whole place look beautiful and positive. My family and I prayed in front of God and enjoyed the peaceful environment.
I also ordered some clothes for Krishna Ji so that we could dress him for his special day. I took Krishna's murti and gave him a bath with diluted milk. After that, I dressed him in the new clothes and got Krishna Ji ready for the celebration.
At the Mandir
In this way, after getting him ready, we went to the mandir. When we reached there, there was a big crowd. People were standing in the queue and waiting for their turn. It took us almost half an hour, but everyone was waiting with excitement and devotion.
Inside the mandir, we enjoyed lots of kirtan and bhajan. The whole environment was full of positive energy, and everyone was celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna with happiness and devotion.
After this, we enjoyed the aarti of Lord Krishna. It was a very beautiful moment for me and my family. We were very happy to be a part of the celebration and to experience the peaceful and devotional atmosphere.
Coming Home with Beautiful Memories
After celebrating Lord Krishna's birthday, we went back to our home, and we were very happy. We talked about the whole day and enjoyed the memories we created together.
So yes, the day was full of excitement for us as we enjoyed the great festival with a sense of dignity and purity.
What Janmashtami Means to Me
For me, Janmashtami is not only about celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. It is also about spending time with family, respecting different religions, following traditions, and creating beautiful memories together.
As I was born in a Sikh family, I feel happy that we celebrate different festivals in our country. It gives us an opportunity to understand different cultures and respect the faith of other people.
This Janmashtami was a very special experience for me because I celebrated it with my family, prepared everything with my own hands, visited the mandir, enjoyed the kirtan and bhajan, and became a part of the aarti.
It was a day full of happiness, excitement, devotion, and family love. And this is why this Janmashtami celebration will always remain a beautiful memory for me.
