So I am a Sikh and I was very highly impressed by the Khalsa Aid organization. I came to know about this organization and its work, and I was very impressed by the way they always come forward to help people in difficult situations.
When the News Left Me Blank
There was a huge disaster and devastating flood in Nepal. When I saw the news, I was blank at that moment, and my eyes got filled with tears. Many people lost their livelihoods, their loved ones, and everything that they had earned in their whole life. I was spellbound for a moment and wanted to do something for them.
I was thinking about those people who suddenly lost their homes, their work, their belongings, and their family members. It was very difficult for me to imagine how they would manage their lives after such a huge disaster. At that moment, I felt that I should contribute something from my side, even if it was a small contribution.
So I decided to contribute some funds to the charity so they could help the needy ones. I felt happy that, in my own small way, I could become a part of helping people who were going through such a difficult situation.
Who Are Khalsa Aid
Even during the worst disasters experienced by Kerala or Nepal, Khalsa Aid organization came forward and helped the people. During that time, in Kerala and Nepal, people faced a huge amount of rainfall and disaster. People living in the villages were badly affected by this disaster. The districts were affected by floods, and devastating floods and landslides hit the people and villages. Many people became homeless and lost their basic necessities.
At that difficult time, Khalsa Aid, which is an international NGO, came forward with the aim of providing humanitarian aid in different areas. When I came to know about their work, I felt even more connected with their purpose.
The Sikh Principle Behind the Work
This organization is based upon the true Sikh principles that recognize the whole human race as one. This is one of the main things that impressed me about Khalsa Aid. They do not focus on helping only one particular community. They come forward to help people who are in need.
What They Provide During Disasters
I was inspired by their work as they were providing free food, giving shelters, first-aid kits, clothes, and other basic things to affected people. During a disaster, these things can become very important for a person who has lost almost everything.
Sarbat da Bhala
They work on their main ideology, which is "Sarbat da Bhala," meaning the well-being of all people in the world. This thought has a very deep meaning for me because it teaches us that we should think about the well-being of everyone, not only ourselves.
Sarbat da Bhala — the well-being of all people in the world.
Why This Matters to Me
When I see such organizations helping people during their worst situations, I feel that humanity is still alive. A person may have different beliefs, a different language, or come from a different country, but when that person needs help, we should try to support them.
Khalsa Aid is recognized as an international social worker organization and has become a helping hand for society. Their volunteers go to different places where people are facing difficult situations and try to provide them with the basic support they need.
A Small Contribution, A Big Hope
I was greatly inspired by this Sikh organization because it showed me the real meaning of service and humanity. It also made me realize that we do not always need to do something very big to help someone. Sometimes, even a small contribution can become useful for someone who is going through the hardest time of their life.
My experience of seeing the Nepal flood news and learning about Khalsa Aid made me think differently. At first, I was just watching the news, but later I felt that I should do something from my side. This small decision gave me a feeling of satisfaction because I knew that my contribution could help the organization reach people who were actually in need.

This experience taught me one simple thing: when someone is suffering, even a small helping hand can give them hope.
