Fresh homemade guacamole and a warm bowl of vegetable soup — two simple food moments that made my day.

I have always enjoyed simple food. For me, food does not have to be very fancy or expensive to make me happy. Sometimes, even making something simple at home or having a warm bowl of soup outside can make my day better.

Making Guacamole at Home

Recently, I made avocado guacamole at home, and I really enjoyed the whole process. I had fresh avocados, onions, tomatoes, green chillies and lemons ready on my chopping board.

First, I cut the avocados and took out the seeds. I removed the avocado from the skin and put it into a bowl. Then I added finely chopped onions and tomatoes. I also added some green chillies because I like a little bit of spice.

After that, I squeezed fresh lemon juice over it. I mixed everything together and mashed the avocado until it became creamy. I didn't want to make it completely smooth because I like having small pieces of onion and tomato in it.

The best part was seeing all the fresh ingredients coming together. The green avocado, red tomatoes, purple onions and green chillies made the whole preparation look so colourful.

I think making food at home gives a different kind of happiness. Even though making guacamole is very easy, I enjoyed every small step. It also reminded me that we don't always need complicated recipes to make something delicious.

A Warm Bowl of Vegetable Soup

On another day, I went out and had a warm vegetable soup at a restaurant.

The soup was served in a beautiful bowl and had vegetables, noodles, carrots, green peppers and fresh herbs. It looked very colourful and fresh. Of course, I had to take a picture before starting my meal!

The soup was warm and light, which made it perfect for enjoying slowly. I liked the combination of vegetables and noodles because every spoonful had something different.

Sometimes, when I am outside, I don't want a very heavy meal. A warm bowl of soup can be enough. Sitting at the restaurant, having my soup and enjoying the moment felt very peaceful.

Simple but Memorable

What I liked about these two food experiences is that they were very simple but still memorable.

One was something I made myself at home. The other was something I enjoyed at a restaurant. One was cold and fresh, while the other was warm and comforting.

But both reminded me how much I enjoy food and the little moments connected with it.

Food Pictures as Memories

I also love taking pictures of food. Sometimes people may think it is just a picture, but for me, it becomes a small memory. When I look at the picture later, I remember what I was making, where I was, and how I felt at that time.

I believe we should enjoy these small moments in our daily lives. We don't always need a special occasion to enjoy good food.

Sometimes, all we need is a fresh avocado, some onions and tomatoes.

And sometimes, all we need is a warm bowl of soup after a long day.

These simple things may look small, but they can make an ordinary day feel a little more special.
